Major Robert Cambell and the Iraq war.

How many of you have read Rudyard Kipling’s Poem “Tommy” I suggest you read it and compare Tommy to today’s armed forces. You can Google it and then read it.
We are still in a position where the Armed Forces are not appreciated unless we are at war, although sometimes it is called a Police Action.
The married Service man has to live in substandard accommodation that if it was let by a private landlord the Landlord would be in front of the Magistrate or Judge.
In Northern Ireland the IRA were virtually pardoned for all of their actions, but were the UK Forces? No, why didn’t Blair arrange for equal treatment for all?

Personnel of Major Cambells  ilk are liable for imagined actions not once, not twice but many times. What happened to the situation that you can’t be tried twice for the same crime?
To me the big question is how much money is being made by the Legal Profession?
(Remember it is our money being paid out.)

Why is it that the appropriate Minister hasn’t the courage to put a stop to all of this nonsense, or is it that all he/she is selfishly thinking of is their own career?
If this is the case they should be ashamed of themselves.

It is not only related to the Iraq action that this is going on. Even the action of the Military Police in Cypress is under the spotlight. Think how long ago that was.

What is next everyone involved in WW2 being investigated, Korea and maybe WW1 as it is still possible that some people are still around?
Why is it only the UK people being investigated?

All of this is having a negative action on recruiting, and I don’t blame them.

How are we going to cope when Brexit is over and we are once more a sovereign nation?
Could we defend the Falkland Islands again? Remember some countries stir up trouble so that pressure can be taken off their home grown problems.
Do you remember the Cod war, could we cope with another one?

I have come to the conclusion that all governments take the easy path.
